01. The Louvre: reservation rules differ by visitor type
Standard admission is €22 (EEA) or €32 (non-EEA), free for under-18s and EEA residents under 26. A timed-entry booking is merely recommended for standalone ticket buyers, but the Paris Museum Pass's own site tags the Louvre "Mandatory reservation" for its holders specifically — pass admissions draw from a separate, limited daily quota that can run out.
02. Arc de Triomphe is included in the Paris Museum Pass
Confirmed directly on the Paris Museum Pass's own site list, with no reservation required. Pricing is seasonal: €22 from 1 April to 30 September, €16 from 1 October to 31 March.
03. Eiffel Tower is a separate product from every museum pass
The Eiffel Tower is not part of the Paris Museum Pass and is sold independently by its own operator, with prices from €14.80 (2nd floor by stairs) to €36.70 (summit by lift). Turbopass and Go City both include an Eiffel Tower visit, but as a specific guided 2nd-floor product — not a standalone official summit ticket — so check exactly what's included before assuming you'll reach the top.
04. Versailles: the Palace needs a reservation, and a "Passport" isn't always a "Passport"
The commercial Passport ticket (€25-€35 depending on season) covers the Palace (timed entry), the Trianon Estate (no reservation), temporary exhibitions, and ordinary Gardens access, plus one single-entry Gardens admission on Musical Fountains/Musical Gardens Show days. Paris Museum Pass and Go City holders must claim a free ticket also called “Passport” for the Palace time slot — but on a Musical Fountains or Musical Gardens Show day, official sources currently disagree on whether that free ticket also covers Gardens access: the Paris Museum Pass’s own site says it does not, while Château de Versailles’s own ticketing page describes the Passport ticket as including it. Check current conditions when you claim your free Passport if this affects your visit. Sharing a product name doesn’t mean sharing every entitlement.
05. Sainte-Chapelle also requires its own reservation
Included in the Paris Museum Pass, but — like the Louvre — still needs a timed-entry slot booked separately through the pass's own reservation page.
Which Option is Best for Your Trip?
Museum-Heavy Trip (3+ Days)
If you're visiting the Louvre, Orsay, Versailles, Sainte-Chapelle and other national museums but don't care about the Eiffel Tower, the 4- or 6-day Paris Museum Pass is the most direct option — just remember to book your own time slots.
Eiffel Tower + Louvre in One Trip
Since no museum pass includes the Eiffel Tower, Turbopass Paris City Pass or Go City's All-Inclusive Pass Plus are the only single-purchase options that bundle both — check whether their Eiffel Tower component (2nd floor guided visit) matches what you actually want before buying, or book the Eiffel Tower separately.
Short, Focused Visit (1-2 Attractions)
If you only plan to visit the Louvre and one other site, individual tickets are usually cheaper than any pass — do the math on your specific itinerary before buying a multi-day pass.
