01. Go City does not currently sell a Vienna pass
Confirmed directly on gocity.com: Go City Vienna was discontinued, with a notice stating passes stopped being sold and had to be used by August 24, 2024. If you've seen Go City Vienna mentioned elsewhere, that information is out of date.
02. The Vienna Pass and Vienna City Card solve different problems
The Vienna Pass (from €109) is an attractions-first pass with free entry to up to 90 sites, but no public transport. The Vienna City Card (from €19) is transport-first — unlimited transit plus discounts, but no free attraction entry. Don't assume one replaces the other.
03. The Sisi Ticket's Silver Collection component is currently closed
Confirmed directly on schoenbrunn.at: the Hofburg's Silver Collection has been closed since April 2023 for renovation, with reopening planned for November 19, 2026. Until then, the Sisi Ticket effectively bundles only 2 of its normal 3 imperial sites at full scope — plan accordingly if visiting before that date.
04. Stephansdom's nave and the Prater park are both free — no pass needed
General entry to St. Stephen's Cathedral's main nave costs nothing, and the Prater park is a free public green space. Only their paid add-ons (towers/catacombs; the Riesenrad) require tickets.
