Individual Tickets

Varies per site

💡 Worth considering for a short visit centered on Bryggen and other free landmarks, or if Fløibanen is the only paid attraction on your list — its own online/app price already undercuts the Bergen Card's discounted rate for a single ride.

Pricing Analysis & Important Details

01. Neither Go City nor Turbopass operates in Bergen — only the official Bergen Card

Confirmed against both providers' own published destination lists: Go City's roughly 28 destinations include Nordic Gothenburg but no Norwegian city, and Turbopass's 13 destinations (all in Western/Southern Europe plus Dubai) list none in Norway either. Bergen's only official multi-attraction pass is the Bergen Card, run through visitbergen.com.

02. The Bergen Card discounts rather than fully covers some of Bergen's biggest paid attractions

Unlike cities where a card covers every paid sight outright, the Bergen Card only discounts Fløibanen (to roughly 100 kr adult return in summer, down from 220 kr) and the Hanseatic Museum (to 130 kr, down from 160 kr) — genuine savings, but not free entry. KODE Art Museums is the exception, but only from October to April; May-September it's a 25% discount as well.

03. Bryggen itself needs no pass at all

Bergen's UNESCO-listed Hanseatic wharf is free to walk through at any time, the same always-free-landmark pattern already documented for Tallinn's Town Hall Square and Krakow's Main Market Square. Only the museums inside or beside it — Bryggens Museum and the Hanseatic Museum — are separately ticketed.

04. Bergen is a new NOK-currency destination for this site

Norway's krone (kr) is a brand-new currency for this guide, alongside the euro-priced cities documented elsewhere. All prices here are quoted in kr as Norwegians write them — whole numbers, no decimals — matching the official visitbergen.com, floyen.no, kodebergen.no, and museumvest.no pricing pages.

Which Option Fits Your Visit?

🏛️

A Multi-Day Museum Visit

The Bergen Card covers 30+ museums and attractions with free or discounted entry, plus unlimited zone-A public transport — strong value if you're visiting several paid sites over 2-4 days, especially October-April when KODE is fully included.

🚶

A Short Stop Focused on Bryggen

With only a few hours in Bergen, walking Bryggen's free wharf and alleyways costs nothing — a paid pass may not have time to pay for itself on a brief visit.

🚡

You Only Want Fløibanen

If Fløibanen is your one paid attraction, its own online/app price (200 kr return) already beats the Bergen Card's discounted rate for a single ride — skip the card and book directly.

🚋

You Want Transport Included

Any Bergen Card tier covers unlimited Skyss buses and the Bergen Light Rail in zone A, plus the Askøy/Nordhordland boat — useful if you're staying outside the compact central wharf area.
