Paseo del Arte: Is Madrid's 3-Museum Ticket Worth It?

Paseo del Arte is a fixed, three-museum combined ticket — not a city pass with a menu of attractions. It covers exactly one visit each to the Museo del Prado, the Museo Reina Sofía, and the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza, and nothing else. There is no palace, no transport, and no option to swap in a different museum.

The ticket is valid for one year from the date of purchase, but each museum only once during that window — it is not a repeat-entry annual pass. You can spread your three visits across separate days of a longer stay, or use all three on one museum-heavy day.

Coverage differs by museum once you're inside. The Prado and Reina Sofía tickets include the permanent collection plus some — not all — current temporary exhibitions. The Thyssen-Bornemisza's own page is explicit that Paseo del Arte covers its permanent collection only, without its temporary exhibitions. Don't assume identical full access at all three sites.

You don't book a time slot when you buy the ticket itself — you use the Paseo del Arte voucher or QR code to obtain your dated entry directly at each museum, the same way you would with that museum's own standalone ticket.
