The Acropolis Museum is an independent institution, not part of the Acropolis archaeological site above it, and sells its own admission ticket through its own booking system.
The building includes a glass floor over an excavated ancient neighbourhood, and a top-floor gallery devoted to the Parthenon's sculpted frieze, arranged in the same orientation it held on the temple itself.
