Casa Vicens was Antoni Gaudí's first major commission, built as a summer house for stockbroker Manuel Vicens between 1883 and 1885. Its reddish brick, checkerboard ceramic tiles and oriental-influenced corner tower make it instantly distinct from Gaudí's later, better-known works.
A self-guided ticket (with audio guide included) is the standard way to visit; a live guided tour and an early-access "Good Morning, Gaudí" slot are sold as separate, pricier products rather than add-ons to the standard ticket.
History & Architectural Significance
Completed in 1885, Casa Vicens predates the Sagrada Família, Park Güell and Casa Batlló, and shows Gaudí experimenting with Mudéjar (Moorish-influenced) brickwork and ceramics years before his more famous Modernisme style fully emerged.
It became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2005 as part of the group inscription "Works of Antoni Gaudí," and opened to the public as a museum only in November 2017 after decades as a private residence.

Rooftop Terrace & Garden
Included on every ticket type — a small terrace and Mediterranean garden original to the house.

City Pass & Ticket Strategy
Compare Barcelona PassesCompare the standalone ticket against what each Barcelona pass actually provides — Casa Vicens is included on two passes, discounted on one, and absent from others.
Barcelona City Pass
Included. Turbopass's own dedicated Casa Vicens product page states plainly that admission is included in the Barcelona City Pass.
Barcelona Flex Pass
Optional (selectable attraction). Counts as one of your chosen attractions. Selectable as one of 2-7 attractions from the same pool as the City Pass (Casa Vicens is listed in that shared pool).
Barcelona Card
Discounted. 20% discount off the standard ticket. Turisme de Barcelona's own discounts page lists a 20% discount on Casa Vicens — not free entry.
All-In Barcelona Card
Not confirmed by the provider. Casa Vicens is not one of the All-In tier's named 2-choice 'premium attractions' menu, but All-In also advertises a separate 'unlimited Museum Pass' benefit to an unspecified list of museums/cultural venues (examples given: MEAM, Mies van der Rohe Pavilion) — whether Casa Vicens falls inside that bucket was not confirmed this session. Marking UNKNOWN rather than guessing either way.
Go City Barcelona All-Inclusive Pass
Included. Go City's own Casa Vicens attraction page states it is available on the All-Inclusive, Explorer and Essentials passes, with no booking required — present the pass on arrival.
Barcelona Card Modernista
Included. Casa Vicens is one of the Modernista card's 10 named Modernisme icons, included free (once per venue).
