Tibidabo Amusement Park sits atop Tibidabo mountain, at 512m above the city, and is one of the oldest amusement parks in the world, opened in 1899. General admission (€39.00 adult) includes the full park plus the Cuca de Llum funicular and TibiBus shuttles.
The mountain is also topped by the Temple of the Sacred Heart (Temple del Sagrat Cor), a separate landmark visible across much of Barcelona, and a cheaper 'Panoramic Area only' ticket exists for visitors who mainly want the views and a handful of rides rather than the full park.
History & Significance
Tibidabo opened its first attractions in 1899, making it one of the oldest operating amusement parks anywhere, and it has been continuously expanded since, mixing vintage rides (some over a century old) with newer attractions.
The neighboring Temple of the Sacred Heart, begun in 1902 and completed in 1961, is a separate religious site crowning the summit and a distinctive part of Barcelona's skyline from across the city.
What to See: Top Highlights
The Panoramic Area
Historic rides with sweeping views over Barcelona, accessible with either a full park ticket or the cheaper Panoramic Area ticket.
Cuca de Llum Funicular
Included with every ticket type — the park's own funicular connecting lower stations to the summit.
Temple of the Sacred Heart (nearby)
A separate landmark next to the park, visible across much of Barcelona — not included in park admission, as it is independently operated.
