Frequently Asked Questions

Does one ticket cover the Verkehrszentrum and Flugwerft Schleissheim too?
No. Each of the three Deutsches Museum locations (main site, Verkehrszentrum, Flugwerft Schleissheim) has its own separate day ticket, independently priced and sourced — Verkehrszentrum and Flugwerft currently happen to charge the same €9 adult / €6 reduced / €19 family price (both were adjusted together on 28 January 2026), while the main site's family ticket is a different €33. The only cross-location product is an annual pass (€50 adult / €25 reduced) covering all three.
Is the whole museum currently open?
No. An ongoing modernisation (targeted for completion in 2028) currently has more than half of the traditional exhibition halls closed, including Astronomy, Physics, Planetarium and Computer Science. Around 20-22 exhibitions remain open, including Aviation, Chemistry, Electronics and Robotics.
How much time is needed?
Most visitors spend 3-4 hours at the main site alone, more if combining with the Verkehrszentrum on the same trip (a different location, requiring separate travel time).
Do I need to book in advance?
Advance online booking is recommended, especially in high season, but it is not a strict requirement — walk-up admission remains possible.
