The Shard Guide: Dynamic Pricing, Standard Entry & What's Actually Included

The View from The Shard is the observation deck on floors 68-72 of Western Europe's tallest building, offering an open-air viewing platform roughly 244 metres above London Bridge.

Pricing is fully dynamic and date/demand-based — there is no fixed universal adult price. The official site's own booking widget shows a 'from' minimum tied to the specific date and time you select, and that minimum moves. Treat any price quoted here as a checked snapshot, not a fixed rate.

There is only one ticket product: Standard Entry. 'Sunset' is descriptive marketing language for the view at a particular time of day, not a separate ticket SKU — confirmed directly by testing evening time slots in the official live booking widget, which only ever offered the same Standard Entry ticket regardless of time.

Designed by architect Renzo Piano and completed in 2012 (opening to the public in February 2013), The Shard was conceived as a 'vertical city' combining offices, restaurants, a hotel, apartments, and the public viewing gallery near its summit.

At 310 metres, it remains the tallest building in the United Kingdom and one of the tallest in Western Europe, its faceted glass form intended to evoke a shard of glass rising from the historic London Bridge Quarter.
