Overview & History

Grossmünster is one of Zurich's three major churches and a birthplace of the Swiss Reformation under Huldrych Zwingli. Its twin towers dominate the Old Town skyline on the east bank of the Limmat. The church interior is free to enter; climbing the south tower (Karlsturm) for panoramic views over the Old Town and, in clear weather, the Alps, requires a separate small ticket.
