The Palace of Culture and Science (Pałac Kultury i Nauki, nicknamed "PKiN") is Warsaw's most recognizable skyline landmark — a 1955 Socialist-Realist skyscraper presented as a "gift" from the Soviet Union, and Poland's tallest building until 2021. Its 30th-floor viewing terrace, at 114 m, gives an unobstructed panorama over the entire city, including the modern skyscraper cluster that has grown up around the Palace itself.
What to See: Top Highlights
30th-Floor Viewing Terrace
360° views over central Warsaw, from the Old Town to the Wisła (Vistula) river and the modern Śródmieście skyscraper district.
Night Viewing Terrace
A separate late-night ticket, sold Friday and Saturday evenings until the end of September, for the illuminated city skyline after dark.
Socialist-Realist Architecture
The Palace's ornate stone facades and set-back tower design are a rare, largely intact example of Stalin-era "Seven Sisters" architecture outside the former Soviet Union.
