The Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the world's largest steel arch bridges, linking the CBD to North Sydney across the harbour. A public pedestrian walkway on the bridge's eastern side is free and open around the clock — but don't confuse it with BridgeClimb, a separate paid climb to the very top of the arch, or the Pylon Lookout (recently rebranded as the Bridge Museum), a small paid museum and viewing deck inside the bridge's south-east pylon.
What to See: Top Highlights
Free Pedestrian Walkway
A roughly 1.1 km walk on the bridge's eastern footpath between The Rocks and North Sydney, with harbour, Opera House, and skyline views, at no cost and no booking.
BridgeClimb (Paid, Separate Product)
A guided, harnessed climb up the bridge's upper arch to the summit, 134 m above the harbour — an entirely separate, ticketed experience from the free walkway.
Pylon Lookout / Bridge Museum
A small paid museum and lookout inside the bridge's historic south-east pylon, reached via 200 steps, with its own separate admission fee.
