历史与意义
1625年，马菲奥·巴贝里尼成为教皇乌尔班八世后，宫殿开始建造，将一座现有的别墅合并为一座宏伟的家族宫殿。卡洛·马代尔诺主持了最初的设计，而贝尼尼与博罗米尼——当时是在马代尔诺手下、后来各自独立工作的年轻对手——各自贡献了一座风格不同的楼梯，体现了两人不同的建筑风格。
